Mechanical Design Engineer

INTEGRIS Group is currently seeking a motivated and outgoing business development person to assist in our growth efforts.  INTEGRIS is an established product development company located in Central Illinois, focusing on the mechatronics disciplines of Mechanical, Software, BioMedical, Electrical and Design Engineering along with 3D printing, prototyping and custom manufacturing.  INTEGRIS is involved in a variety of industries; Medical, Automotive, Aerospace, Heavy Equipment, Retail Products and more.

The Design Engineer will support new product development and product improvement projects as part of a multidisciplinary team. This could include all aspects of the projects including design, analysis, and management of engineering work. The Design Engineer will work with cross functional groups and at times balance multiple projects in order to meet multiple timelines. The core of the work will revolve around designing complex piece parts and assemblies utilizing general engineering and solid modeling principles. The purpose of the work is to provide engineering design support from education and experience through the utilization of common design and analysis tools. In most cases, the Design Engineer will be responsible for providing guidance to others who will complete the designs with detailed drawings suitable for manufacture, addressing all tolerancing, assembly, and serviceability. The core of the work will be challenging and rewarding and will require innovative thinking and problem solving. Job role and salary is based upon skill level, experience, and education.

Interest in learning FEA is a major plus.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • BS in engineering discipline (Mechanical, Aerospace, Agricultural, etc.) is required, Master’s degree in engineering is a plus.
  • Strong basic Mechanical Engineering skills – good grasp of ME fundamentals (statics, dynamics, machine components, structures, FBD, etc.).
  • Ability to think conceptually – need to understand the appropriate level of detail to create in models (CAD, abstract engineering models, engineering spreadsheets, FE models, etc.) in order to solve problems.
  • Top-Down design techniques in CAD
  • Design Engineer must display strong mechanical aptitude, creativity, project management, communication and strong analytical skills.

SOFTWARE TOOLS

  • SolidWorks Tools (SolidWorks, SW Simulation, SW Routing, etc.)
  • PTC Tools (Pro/Engineer, Pro/Harness, Pro/Mechanica, Creo, etc.)
  • Autodesk Tools (AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.)​

GENERAL

  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Detail oriented, with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Diverse interests and skill set, with an ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Mechanical and/or structural experience a plus
  • Experience modeling and/or interfacing with pneumatic, hydraulic, or other mechanical systems
  • Experience estimating and quoting projects
  • FMEA and design reviews
  • Familiarity with certifications and bringing products to market a plus

Software Developer

INTEGRIS Engineering seeks a Software Developer with a broad technical background including front end and back end web development, database management, mobile app creation and use of project management tools.

INTEGRIS is an Illinois based, engineer owned product engineering company that is making a difference by developing their own products and offering their services to other companies. We serve a wide variety of industries including startups, consumer products, aerospace, automotive and manufacturing.

The successful candidate will possess a diverse set of skills and interests and will serve on multiple project teams. Work location will be in Peoria, IL.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering is preferred. Two year technical degree will be considered.
  • Prefer 2-5 years of web development experience.
  • Experience with web programming technologies PHP, JavaScript, REST, XML, JSON
  • SQL/database programming experience in an RDBMS such as MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL or Postgres
  • Experience with Python, Perl, Groovy or other scripting language
  • Experience programming in Java or other object-oriented language
  • General understanding of UI/UX design principles
  • Experience using Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
  • Comfortable developing in Linux
  • Experience developing mobile apps for Android and/or iOS
  • Experience with any of the following is useful: Electron, Node, SQLite, Angular, Bootstrap

Software Engineer – Embedded Software & Electronics

INTEGRIS Engineering is looking for a skilled software engineer to join our team.  In this role, you will be helping to develop new electronic control and monitoring systems.  As an engineer, you will own feature development for several key customer-facing product features.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing embedded control and monitoring systems
  • Deploying code for embedded control products
  • Helping define product features
  • Field testing your code

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of software development experience in C on embedded platforms
  • Experience with at least one low-level communications technology such as CAN/J1939, UART, SPI, or I2C
  • Hands-on experience with electronics development tools such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, debuggers/programmers, and bus monitors
  • Strong communication skills and experience being a flexible team player

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience defining datalink packet and communication specifications
  • Experience working with real-time operating systems, or systems with no operating system
  • Experience developing TCP or UDP communications protocols
  • Experience leading development projects
  • Experience working with vehicular telematics and GPS systems

Structural Analyst

  • Minimum of BS in ME, CE or related field along with 5 plus years of relevant experience

  • Mechanical and/or structural design experience a plus
